Posted February 11, 2019 12:30:48The Star Wars movies will be worth $1.4 trillion by 2021, according to new estimates from Barclays, the world’s largest bank.
The estimates were released on Thursday, ahead of the release of the latest instalment in the series, Star Wars: The Last Jedi, on December 15.
The Barclays analysts project that The Last Starfighter, released in 2020, will be the biggest film in the Star War series.
The company’s estimate of $1,062 billion is slightly lower than estimates from rival banks, including Morgan Stanley, but is still a staggering figure.
It was a big year for Star Wars, with $6.5 billion in ticket sales in the US, and $8.5bn worldwide.
It is also the first film to have more than two billion tickets sold worldwide, after The Force Awakens.
While there was a lot of excitement around the film, it is still far from a blockbuster.
The film made just $1 billion at the box office last year, according the Hollywood Reporter.
In addition to The Last Journey, the third instalments in the franchise will be released next year, along with The Last Emperor and the new Star Wars Rebels TV series.
Banks also projected that Star Wars will make $1 trillion in the next three years, an increase of more than $100 billion over its previous forecast.
It’s still a long way from that mark, but the financial forecasts from banks are important, as they provide the benchmark for what the financial industry is predicting for the next five years.
The Last Jedi will be a big hit with fans, as it is the first time since 1977 that a Star Wars film has been released in the same year as an Oscar winner.
It is also set to be a hit with audiences, as Star Wars fans can expect to see a more diverse and diverse range of characters in the film.
