The next big thing in online music streaming is finally here, and it’s from Sony Music Entertainment.
The company is the biggest streaming platform in the world with more than 30 million paying subscribers, and today announced the creation of a new streaming service to complement its existing streaming service, SONY PLAYBOOK.
The new service, Sony PLAYBOOK, will be the biggest music streaming platform ever created and will provide fans of Sony’s music a way to stream their favorite music without leaving their homes, via a subscription service that will allow them to stream music without an account or streaming device.
Sony PLAYSTATION PLAYBOOK will launch on March 18, and Sony said it will be available in the U.S. on March 24.
Sony PLAYSTATIONS PLAYBOOK is powered by SONY and Sony Music, and will offer the following:Sony PLAYBOOK offers premium subscription-based music streaming to users of the PlayStation®4 console.
Users can pay $7.99 per month for a subscription that includes unlimited streaming of songs from Sony’s catalog and a $10.99 monthly premium subscription that gives users unlimited streaming from their library of songs.
The new Sony PLAYBOARD® smart device and smartphone applications for Sony PLAY-STATIONS® PLAYBOOK can be used for streaming on-the-go.
Users will be able to choose from up to 50 streaming music apps that include artists and artists albums, tracks and albums, and tracks from the Sony catalog, including more than 20 million songs.
PlayStation PLAYSTAND will be sold exclusively at select retailers for the next 12 months and will have a variety of options including the Sony PLAYBOX and Sony PLAYERBOX.
